Our Staff
Our staff members are experienced professionals who are committed to providing the best possible care for children and families. Our speech-language pathologists all hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and are licensed in the state of Ohio. Our teachers are also licensed in the state of Ohio and are experienced with learners having special needs.
Nancy T. Gates, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Nancy has been a practicing speech-language pathologist in various settings for over 35 years. Since 1992, she has operated a private practice in Oxford specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of speech and language disorders in children. Nancy and her husband have 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren.
Carey Francis, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Carey has been a practicing speech-language pathologist for 12 years, working with preschool and school aged children. Carey and her husband have 2 children.
Danielle Floyd, B.S.
Elementary Education
Danielle has been a practicing educator for 12 years in both public and private settings. She has worked with preschool aged children to adults. Danielle is married and has a son.
Karen Steiner
Office Manager
Karen has 16 years experience in office management and insurance billing. Karen and her husband have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
Christine Volz
Reading Specialist
Christine has taught elementary school and tutored reading in the school system. She has four children and loves reading with them. Christine remembers struggling with reading fluency as a child and having a teacher encourage her. That encouragement gave her the confidence to take risks and eventually become a strong reader. She hopes to influence other children the way that teacher helped her.
